Guinn Partners, Georgia-based Skyfire Consulting, the US Department of Health, and drone manufacturer Doosan Mobility Innovation, led a test to deliver temperature controlled bacteria samples from St Croix to St Thomas in the Caribbean sea.
Normally it can take a week to deliver patients’ samples by manned aircraft. If they can be delivered by drone, it could help to substantially reduce diagnosis times and help start treatments on fast-moving diseases.
