China is making a big push on hydrogen. This blog has previously noted a range of projects, including the massive Yangtze River Region Hydrogen Corridor.
The plan is to help reduce China’s need for fossil fuel imports and improve air quality.
China is already the world’s largest hydrogen producer. It produces approximately a third of the world’s hydrogen volume at 20 million metric tons.
Subsidies would also further help to develop a more complete energy and fuel cell industry.
Between China, Japan, and South Korea, and Australia, hydrogen is definitely the future in the Asia-Pacific region.
